Willseal® Protector Plate™ – Columnar

Hybrid Horizontal System with Built-In Cover Plate

Willseal® Protector Plate™ – Columnar is a hybrid horizontal system comprised of two pre-compressed, self-expanding open micro-cell polyurethane foam expansion joints factory-assembled alongside a heavy-duty connecting panel and cover plate. Each foam joint is impregnated with a hydrophobic acrylic polymer sealing compound and finished with a factory-applied silicone sealant, delivering a watertight, dust-proof, airtight, noise-reducing, thermally insulating and UV-stable primary seal for expansion joint openings subject to pedestrian and vehicular loads. The system's non-invasive anchoring eliminates drilling and preserves substrate integrity, while its heavy-duty interlocking anchor frames maintain continuity of seal across the joint, even under seismic movement and heavy traffic conditions.
