TREMproof™ Amphibia™ waterproofing membrane is self-healing, self-sealing and self-repairing. It has three active layers - a watertight EPDM barrier, an active core with the ability to seal when penetrated and an active barrier which seals the overlap and helps resist lateral movement of water. Also, a non-woven fabric layer promotes the mechanical adhesion of the membrane to the concrete.
TREMproof Amphibia waterproofing membrane is designed for use over lagging on blindside walls, below-grade walls, pile caps, grade beams, under slab and buried forms such as elevator pits.
TREMproof Amphibia is ideal for blindside and below slab-on-grade applications, tunnels and elevator pits.
The TREMproof Amphibia membrane can be exposed to wet weather during and after installation. However, we recommend that the TREMproof Amphibia Grip Tape be applied in dry conditions to guarantee proper adhesion to the membrane. TREMproof Amphibia is usable in the presence of saltwater.
TREMproof Amphibia is a durable waterproofing membrane, and typically does not need a protection course under normal conditions.
Yes, it can be installed in submerged conditions, as well as above the water table.
Tremco recommends that TREMproof Amphibia be installed between 32° to 95° F (0° to 35° C).
The TREMproof Amphibia membrane should overlap 2 to 4” (5 to 10 cm).
TREMproof Amphibia can be installed both horizontally and vertically – only one product is needed for all applications.
If the recommended Tremco detailing procedure is followed, TREMproof Amphibia can be installed with shotcrete applications.
