Spitzer Motor Headquarters and Museum

For their new corporate headquarters, including a classic car museum, Spitzer Motor needed a durable, energy-efficient and moisture-controlled structure. They also sought a structural wall solution that could streamline scheduling and support a more economical lifecycle.
 
The project team therefore selected tilt-up concrete construction with Tremco’s TREMtilt™ insulated tilt-up wall panel system to provide the necessary structural strength and continuous insulation, which also minimized concrete usage, panel weight and thermal bridging.
 
Site-cast forming began in May and the TREMtilt panels were ready for lifting by August. Wall erection of the ~14,000 sq ft of exterior wall surface took only 3 days, allowing the project to quickly proceed to roof bar joist installation. In the end, the concrete tilt wall scope was completed 30 days ahead of schedule, compressing the project schedule to get the building enclosed and active sooner. 
 
As an owner-occupied facility, keeping operating costs down was important for Spitzer Motors, so TREMtilt’s R-30 insulated wall assembly was key to reduce their HVAC demands and enable easier temperature control, which will reduce their heating and cooling bills for the life of the building.
