The Products - Tremco Commercial Sealants & Waterproofing offers the most complete range of high-performance products in the industry, which include Silicone Sealants, Urethane Sealants, Glazing Rubber Extrusions and Deck Coatings, Commercial and Residential Waterproofing and Firestopping Systems.
Sealants & Waterproofing - Products include multi-component and one-part urethane and silicone sealants, elastomeric deck coatings, below-grade hot and cold fluidapplied membranes, bentonite sheet waterproofing membranes, waterstops and other specialty coating systems.
Commercial Glazing - Tremco has been a market leader in the design, development and manufacturing of glazing products for use in commercial construction applications. Over the years, window units have become larger, higher performing glass has been developed and performance standards have increased, all placing ever increasing demands on the glazing materials used to seal and support the glass to or within the surrounding metal. To insure compatibility of all components and long-term performance to meet the most stringent requirements, Tremco offers a complete line of gaskets, tapes, setting blocks and spacers in addition to its glazing sealants for single-source, single-responsibility solutions to any glazing application. It also supplies compatible perimeter caulking and weatherproofing materials to complement the window or wall system.
Residential Glazing - TremGlaze® window and door performance sealants are specifically designed to meet the requirements of high-speed in-plant manufacturing and field installation demands. The window and door performance tapes are designed for compression and noncompression in-plant window and door glazing applications.
Industrial Products - In addition to a comprehensive line of sealants and adhesives, tapes, rubber extrusions, and polyurea and urethane coatings, Tremco helps industrial customers with specification development, application-specific product design, experienced problem-solving and on-site assistance. Applications include transportation, automotive and vehicular construction; pre-engineered metal building and standing seam roofs; pre-manufactured housing and mobile units; recreational vehicles; duct and HVAC; agricultural engineering; metal containers; telecommunications; marine; and log homes.
Firestopping - The TREMstop® brand of passive fire protection products features sealantsand intumescent devices. Tremco has more than 400 independently tested fire-rated systems for through penetrations and joints.
The Technology - Tremco has been a leader in the development of products and technology for some of the most demanding requirements and special needs of architects, engineers, contractors and building owners. Tremco pioneered the development of:
The People - No other company in the industry has experienced field representatives in every major market throughout North America solely focused on working side-by-side with customers and specifiers to ensure project success. Tremco CS&W is uniquely positioned to provide assistance for specification development, application-specific product development, problem-solving and assistance on-site.
Protective Glazing - Protection against manmade and natural disasters is a key concern for today's owners, specifiers, architects and contractors. Tremco's structural silicone glazing bonds glass to a curtain wall's structural framing members, transferring dynamic wind loads and impact from the glass through the structural silicone sealant to the curtain wall framing. The structural silicone sealants, which have been tested with major curtain wall and window manufacturers in North America, provide the excellent adhesion, tensile strength and flexibility critical to withstanding wind cycle loads and missile impacts. The industry's most stringent performance standards have been either met or exceeded for hurricane, impact and blast resistance.
Sustainable Design/Building - The environmental impact of buildings is becoming increasingly more apparent every day. Tremco CS&W is committed to providing sustainable design/building solutions which achieve economic, social and environmental balance. We are working to provide superior solutions that will incorporate sustainable and high performance strategies and systems taking into consideration the entire building life cycle while minimizing their impact on the environment. Dedicated to being at the leading edge of the sustainable design/building movement, Tremco CS&W has committed itself to developing a complete sustainable technologies program with a dedicated manager of sustainable technology, innovative product offerings, and comprehensive technical resources. By having Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professionals (AP) on staff, Tremco is able to help customers facilitate sustainable design and LEED application documents by providing the knowledge and guidance necessary for implementation. A database of LEED, Energy Star® and other documentation for all Tremco products is maintained and is readily accessible on the Web site at www.tremcosealants.com to facilitate LEED submittals.
Air Barriers - Air leakage is an extremely efficient means of transporting moisture. As hot, humid air contacts colder surfaces/temperatures condensation occurs and moisture accumulates, creating a potential breeding ground for mold, mildew and other airborne organisms. The control of air leakage and the resulting moisture accumulation can help prevent structural damage. In addition, controlling air leakage also improves the indoor air quality of a building and provides significant energy efficiencies since it is estimated that air leakage can account for as much as 40 percent of a structure's heat loss/gain. Tremco offers an air and vapor permeable or impermeable barrier system to accommodate different air and moisture control requirements. These systems have been thoroughly tested to meet or exceed the most rigorous standards for air permeability, ensuring extended building durability and energy efficiency.
Firestopping - Firestopping, or passive fire protection, is designed to contain fire and smoke from infiltrating the rest of the building. Installed during construction, firestopping, in the event of a fire, saves lives and property by containing damaging flames and gasses. Required by commercial building codes such as the International Building Code, firestopping systems are tested at independent laboratories to ensure proper fire ratings. Tremco offers intumescent products - sealants and devices - that expand when exposed to fire to close off annular spaces or openings in fire walls, preventing the spread of smoke and fire.
